When can I go to the gym / start exercise after EVLT?

We recommend avoiding heavy exercise for 2 weeks while the healing process takes place. We encourage plenty of walking - but going for a stroll, not loading a ruck-sack and striding up to the top of a hill for a yodel!

What follow up procedures are necessary?

There are usually two treatment sessions (but as many as needed at the end of the day). At six weeks there is a follow up check to assess recovery, and sometimes relieve 'blood trapping' to reduce lumpiness.

The treatment paid for covers treatment of any new vein appearing in the first 12 months. There is a check up one year after treatment.
